Harry Brunt, a saxophonist, believes that busking in Cardiff city centre compliments his masters in jazz.

Harry, 22, busks on Queen Street most Saturdays and collaborates with guitarist, Redlox. Harry explains that his MA, at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, teaches him to be a technical player but that busking develops his performance skills.

Harry said, “When you are out on the street, you have to get your own crowd. You’ve got to be a big personality as a performer.”

Harry’s enthusiastic performances have earned him the nickname Fatneck, referring to the shape of his neck when he plays the saxophone. He said, “I get my whole body into it, even if I look like an idiot!”
