October’s top arts festivals

Three different, but equally exciting, arts festivals are occurring throughout October

Cardiff Design Festival, now in its sixth year, runs until October15th. The established festival is holding a variety of design-based exhibitions and events. Olwen Moseley, festival director, said that the festival ‘helps to bring the creative community together and be visible to the broader public.’

Made in Roath arts festival, started in 2009 by a small group of Roath residents, aims to take art out of the traditional space of a gallery and deliver it to the local community with over 100 free events taking place over the weekend of the 14th-16th.

The 11th annual Experimentica 1.1 festival celebrates alternative and challenging arts. The programme runs from 12th-16th of October and a day pass costs £5/6.
