On the fringe of Sŵn, hashtags and coffee

As Welsh for “sound” or “noise” it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Sŵn is going to be featuring a lot of music – but that’s not all that’s in store this weekend.

Among the noise will be quirky exhibitions, film screenings, a coffee morning, and some “exclusive” (according to Wales Online) documentary footage about the Manic Street Preachers. These will be taking place across Cardiff, including the Chapter Arts Centre and St David’s Hall.

You can play Sŵn musical bingo, or engage in #swnspotting by taking photos of and tweeting off a checklist of common festival sights.

The Sŵn festival runs in venues across Cardiff 18-21 October, though if you’ve yet to buy your wristband it looks like you’ve missed the worm.
