Soprano headlines charity concert

The concert will be held at the Dora Stoutzker Hall

Internationally-renowned Welsh soprano, Gwawr Edwards, will be leading a night of music this Thursday in aid of Age Cymru.

The sell-out concert, taking place at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, is aiming to raise funds for the older people’s charity’s ‘Spread the Warmth’ campaign.

The campaign’s objective is to tackle health, heating and loneliness issues for older people. Richard Nicholls, Age Cymru’s Director of Income Resources, said, “The concert will help us to make winter a better time of year for those who may otherwise have nowhere else to turn.”

Morriston Orpheus Choir and Howell’s School Choir will also be performing at the benefit hosted by Welsh television presenter, Arfon Haines Davies. The concert will feature a mix of festive and classic songs.
