A local DJ is preparing to cook up a storm in Cathays when he launches a new halal burger restaurant this December.
Shamin Haris, otherwise known as Glam DJ Mista Bibs, will serve 100% halal fillings at The Bagel and Burger Kitchen that he plans to open before Christmas.
Keeping the launch date secret Haris has been whipping up excitement about his new venture across social media, offering a competition for a free meal at the launch and commissioning a huge cow mural for the shop front.
The BB Kitchen [sic] on Salisbury Road will also use locally sourced meat in all their food. Co-owner and Shamin’s nephew Imran explains, “We will be using turkey substitutes for bacon and British halal beef from local supplier Douglas Willis.”
