A new deli will be opening before Christmas in Penylan that will stock products from local producers, and will aim to promote the environment and a healthy lifestyle.

The Penylan Pantry will be run by friends Melissa and Jolene, who met and became friends through their passion for food.

“Our dream is a neighbourhood hub,” Jolene said. “We wanted a ‘home’ where the service was welcoming and friendly, and where visiting would prove to be a great experience.”

The Penylan Pantry will stock mainly produce from Welsh producers. Melissa and Jolene will only use suppliers that are sustainable, environmentally conscious, or have direct relationships with the growers, farmers and producers.
