A plethora of unsigned Welsh music acts will compete in the Open Mic UK Area Final this weekend, moving a step closer to bagging a recording contract.

23 Welsh acts will compete in the London, Wales and South West Area Final at the Beck Theatre in Hayes on 20 November, for a place in the Grand Final at London’s O2 Arena.

Artists will perform in front of judges including Head of BGM, Michael King and Head of A&R at Future Music, Ben Price, for a shot at winning a recording contract with Future Music Management and a UK tour.

Ben Price said, “The industry is packed these days because the internet has changed everything. Open Mic UK gives performers the chance to play in front of large crowds and people who can help them begin a potential career.”
