Cardiff’s cultural scene is second to none. Being home to a rich literary heritage, a booming alternative music scene and over 100 areas of natural wonder, Cardiff is an epicentre for all generations to explore. Like most cultural hotspots, there is no better time than the summer to celebrate uniqueness, individuality and diversity.

Marina Dinnock from the Festival Bureau understands the importance of these events.

“It’s a great opportunity to do something different,” explains Dinnock. “I find it crazy how many people don’t attend these events. Whether it’s raising money for local charities or having a drink with friends, locals should really get out of their comfort zones and explore what this fantastic city can offer.”

With this in mind, and with exams on the horizon, its always a good idea to have something planned to celebrate the end of the semester. Lucky for you, Inter Cardiff have handpicked seven of the quirkiest cultural festivals that you really won’t want to miss out on this summer.
