All the divers are asked to take part in a charity event raising money in South Wales at the beginning of December dressing up as Santa Clause.

“People come along and dress up as Santa to raise some money and have some fun in the process. The event is free of charge for anyone who is a member to take part in the dive we just ask people to dress up and get into the water about 12 o’clock and we have one big dive with anything from 70 to 150 people dressed up as Santa at anyone time“ said Ashley Bryce.

Partecipation is free of charge for anyone who is qualified, there is just an entry fee of 11 for who is a member and 60 for a non member to take part in the dive and get into the water at 12 o’clock.

A.Bryce explained “The event was set up roughly five or six years ago by a group of divers from the Yorkshire divers diving forum by a gentleman called Lloyd Watkin. And it has been running for every years since. So far we have raised over £20,000 for the RNLI in running the event”.
