On Tuesday the 12th of October Wales qualified for the Euro 2016 to be held in France. It is the first major tournament they have qualified for since 1958. Star players such as Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale have given the squad a decent chance of performing well in the up coming tournament.

Football Fans in wales are ecstatic with their team’s success. Some people however have argued that their reliance on Gareth Bale is too great and they might not be able to cope without him.

The Welsh Rugby team on the other hand has had a great tournament, not only was Wales a Co-host but their team got to the quarterfinals where they were beaten by South Africa. Becky a Cardiff local however says “The Welsh are definitely more Passionate about rugby than football and their rugby team usually does better than their football team, notwithstanding their current triumph”.
