Cardiff’s Globe hosts free Tigertailz show

The Globe on Albany Road is about to get a dose of rock ‘n’ roll as Welsh glam-rockers Tigertailz host a free-to-attend gig on Friday 28 November. The Cardiff locals formed in 1983 after founding members Ian Welsh and bassist ‘Pepsi’ Tate posted an advert in the window of Spiller’s Records. Since then, Tigertailz have gone on to tour internationally with several different lineups, playing with legends such as KISS and Cheap Trick as recently this year.

Tailz most recent look eschews the glam of the eighties.

“It’s got nothing to do with playing shows with Kiss or Cheap Trick” says Jay Pepper, the band’s guitarist. “Tigertailz have earned their own place at any Rock n Roll show anywhere in the world.

“The Tailz have always been a square peg in a round hole as far as Welsh music is concerned.  And we like it that way.”
