{"id":18270,"date":"2013-11-06T14:12:59","date_gmt":"2013-11-06T14:12:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/?p=18270"},"modified":"2015-10-07T10:45:11","modified_gmt":"2015-10-07T10:45:11","slug":"vegetarian-food-studio-bags-best-restaurant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/food\/vegetarian-food-studio-bags-best-restaurant","title":{"rendered":"Vegetarian Food Studio bags best restaurant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Vegetarian Food Studio\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vegetarianfoodstudio.co.uk\/History.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">The Vegetarian Food Studio<\/a> has drawn with Cathays-based fine-dining Indian restaurant Mowgli&#8217;s to be named best restaurant in the South East Wales area in the first <a title=\"The Asian Food Awards Ltd\" href=\"http:\/\/www.theasianfoodawards.com\/shortlist\/\" target=\"_blank\">Asian Food Awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_18475\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 480px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Asian-Food-Awards3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18475\" alt=\"The Asian Food Award\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Asian-Food-Awards3.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">In August, the Vegetarian Food Studio moved to a larger establishment at 115-17 Penarth Road to cope with increasing demand<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Penarth Road restaurant is well-known in Cardiff for offering an entirely vegetarian menu, with dishes of South Indian, Chinese and Gujarati origin.<\/p>\n<p>Long admired for its traditional homemade breads, chutneys and sweets, as well as its affordable and varied menu, Vegetarian Food Studio has received a number of nationwide awards.<\/p>\n<p>Renn Patal, mother of owner Neil, said &#8220;We are very happy.
