Images \u00a9 Ruth Mclees\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Chroma1.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Chroma Utopia exhibition also features a series of mini tiles that capture colourful experiments with different pigments.<br \/>Images \u00a9 Ruth Mclees<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A local artist has transformed her studio into a science laboratory to create an exhibition that showcases the crossover between art and science.<\/p>\n<p>Chroma Utopia, created by Ruth Mclees, will be held at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gallery-ten.co.uk\/#\/\">Gallery Ten,<\/a> Cardiff, from 7 to 30 November.<\/p>\n<p>Assisted by a polymer chemist, Ruth has experimented with scientific processes and industrial materials to develop coloured glazes that enhance her artwork.<\/p>\n<p>The on-going project has been partly funded by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artswales.org.uk\/\">Arts Council<\/a> and Ruth\u2019s solo exhibition will feature 27 paintings, which display the results of her research so far.<\/p>\n<p>Ruth said: \u201cWhat really drives me is making things that no one has ever thought about before and making art in a way that no one has even comprehended which is all about experimenting.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Upcoming exhibition showcases an artist\u2019s experimentation with art and science<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":119,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[12],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v14.9 -
