{"id":18603,"date":"2013-11-12T15:27:16","date_gmt":"2013-11-12T15:27:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/?p=18603"},"modified":"2017-10-24T10:55:36","modified_gmt":"2017-10-24T10:55:36","slug":"festival-raises-mental-health-awareness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/culture\/festival-raises-mental-health-awareness","title":{"rendered":"Festival raises mental health awareness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_18894\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 347px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/music_8_mind_small_mh_2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-18894\" alt=\"The Adelines\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/music_8_mind_small_mh_2-347x312.jpg\" width=\"347\" height=\"312\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Adelines are the main support act on the Rockpie Promotions stage at Mind Fest<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Three music promoters have come together to host a music festival that raises awareness of mental health issues in South Wales.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"God is in the TV\" href=\"http:\/\/www.godisinthetvzine.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\">God is in the TV<\/a>, <a title=\"Rockpie\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RockpiePromo\" target=\"_blank\">Rockpie <\/a>and <a title=\"Red Medicine\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Red-Medicine-Promotions\/447349191994485?ref=hl\" target=\"_blank\">Red Medicine<\/a> have organised<a title=\"Mind Fest\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cardiffmindfest.com\" target=\"_blank\"> Mind Fest<\/a>; a new music festival which takes place over three venues on November 23 and 24.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the event is to use music to showcase the services on offer, to tackle the stigma and raise money for Welsh charity, <a title=\"Cardiff Mind\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cardiffmind.org\">Cardiff Mind<\/a>.\u00a0Amongst the 40 acts taking part are Welsh favourites <a title=\"We're No Heroes\" href=\"http:\/\/www.werenoheroes.com\" target=\"_blank\">We\u2019re No Heroes<\/a> and <a title=\"The Adelines\" href=\"http:\/\/theadelines.com\" target=\"_blank\">The Adelines<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Bill Cummings, editor of God is in the TV, said: \u201cI think it&#8217;s vital we promote well-being through creativity, and highlight the therapeutic services in the voluntary sector available to those who have problems.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welsh music promoters join forces to tackle mental health <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":119,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[12],"tags":[366,3010,3054,2395,3051,3055,3056,3052,3053],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v14.9 -
