An anti-racism charity is using laughter to raise awareness of racism in society by holding a stand-up comedy event this week.<\/p>\n

Show Racism the Red Card<\/a> is a UK wide educational charity, which uses high profile names, predominantly in football, to help tackle racism and promote an anti-racist message to young people.<\/p>\n

Jessica Gasson, the charity\u2019s support worker, believes this event is important because it gives them the opportunity to gather people from all sectors of society to raise awareness.<\/p>\n

She said comedy is a good tool because it \u201cis something that transcends societal boundaries and allows us to spread our message to a diverse audience.\u201d<\/p>\n
