Philip Gross is launching his new poetry collection as part of a fundraising event for Age Connects Cardiff and The Vale<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The event at the Norwegian Church Arts Centre<\/a> aims to raise awareness and support for Age Connects, a charity that cares for local elderly people who are vulnerable or ill.<\/p>\n

Care workers and poetry enthusiasts are invited to listen to the TS Elliot Prize<\/a>\u00a0winner Philip Gross read from his new collection Later<\/em> which tenderly<\/span> accounts the final year of his father\u2019s life, who was cared for by Age Connects.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are thrilled that Philip thought to approach us about this poetry event,\u201d said charity worker Karen Steele. \u201cHe thought so highly of our local charity and the support we gave his father in his final years.\u201d<\/p>\n
