The pub will be closed in January, ready for the brand new opening in March 2014<\/p><\/div>\n

Knife & Fork Food is taking on Cyncoed pub, The Discovery. It\u2019s their biggest gastro makeover yet – a venue with the capacity to serve up to 200 dinners in one evening.<\/p>\n

The pub is a favourite quiz venue for ITV Chaser, Mark Labbert.<\/p>\n

Knife & Fork, who run Pontcanna\u2019s The Conway, will be retaining some of The Discovery\u2019s existing staff and creating approximately 20 more jobs.<\/p>\n

Sean Murphy, the company\u2019s managing director says he hopes the new Discovery will be a go-to location and continue with their core concept of \u201cgood food, good wine and great atmosphere.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pub will be closing in January 2014, allowing the company just two months to refurbish the premises ready for their grand opening on 7 March.<\/p>\n
