There will in fact be strings attached when The Fetch Theatre performs their poetry and puppetry infused production of Basant Lahore at Chapter Arts this November.<\/p>\n

The Fetch Theatre\u2019s production Basant Lahore combines poetry and puppetry into a colourful and original performance. Mazhar Tirmazi leads with his Punjab poetry, illustrated and brought to life by the expertly crafted puppets of director, designer and puppeteer Purvin.<\/p>\n

Arts project manager Cindy Watson said, \u201cIt\u2019s more creative than literal. The puppets tell the story that the poet describes but through rhythms and sounds.\u201d<\/p>\n

The collaboration of puppets and Punjab poetry show it’s just as much for adults as it is for children, especially as the viewing age is twelve plus.<\/p>\n
