A Cardiff delicatessen has seen customers go crazy for continental Christmas food, over 70 years after the store\u2019s founders fled Nazi Europe. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Wally’s Delicatessen is always a delight for children to visit, as the shelves are stacked high with brightly coloured Christmas boxes.<\/p><\/div>\n

Wally\u2019s Delicatessen, Royal Arcade, has seen a huge demand for their Christmas produce, selling everything from Italian panettone to German stollen.<\/p>\n

The Salamon family abandoned their Austrian delicatessen when war broke out, re-opening their business in Cardiff in 1947.<\/p>\n

A far cry from war-torn Europe, the store is a popular meeting place for ethnic minorities, while the team hopes their Christmas products will secure customer loyalty all year.<\/p>\n

Owner Steven Salamon said, \u201cWally\u2019s Delicatessen provides great gifts because, instead of locally sourced food, we import authentic products that are unavailable in supermarkets.<\/p>\n

“Elderly people who visited when they were young now bring their own grandchildren Christmas shopping.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
