A hundred years of pure imagination will be celebrated next year in commemoration of the centenary of Roald Dahl\u2019s birth.<\/p>\n

The 13 September 2016 marks a hundred years since the writer\u2019s birth, and Cardiff is already preparing to celebrate the national treasure.<\/p>\n

In 1987, Roald Dahl was appointed the first president of the Norwegian Church Preservation Trust, but sadly died before the reconstruction of the church was complete.<\/p><\/div>\n

The Norwegian Church on Cardiff Bay where Dahl worshipped as a child, is working with the Welsh Government and Literature Wales to raise awareness of Dahl\u2019s achievements.<\/p>\n

Tony Caley-Burnell, conference and events co-ordinator for Cardiff Council said: \u201cWe celebrate Roald Dahl Day every year on the Sunday closest to Roald Dahl\u2019s birthday.\u201d<\/p>\n
