A new form of exercise is available for hire exclusively at the Channel View Leisure Centre.<\/p>\n

The ElliptiGO is an elliptical cross trainer and bicycle in one, allowing you to ride outdoors on two wheels.<\/p>\n

A popular route is the Cardiff Bay 10km Trail which goes through the International Sports Village.<\/p><\/div>\n

It uses the running-like motion of a cross trainer to propel the rider, promising to deliver a high intensity workout without the jarring impact of running or the discomfort of cycling.<\/p>\n

Assistant manager at Channel View Leisure Centre, Tom said, \u201cYou actually burn quite a lot of calories. It doesn\u2019t quite feel like you\u2019re working hard because it feels like you\u2019re on air.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe elliptical works a lot of your lower body,\u201d he said, \u201cIt is non-impact so you can use it if you are rehabilitating from injury.\u201d<\/p>\n
