Think of beer at Wetherspoon\u2019s and you may well think of the standards.<\/p>\n

But in an October beer festival, customers of nine local Wetherspoon\u2019s pubs are invited to try a selection of beers from around the world and lesser-known beers from the UK, priced between \u00a31.75 and \u00a32.15. Anyone who wants to try a range of the beers can sample three types in third pint glasses for the price of a pint.<\/p>\n

Central Cardiff pubs involved: A \u2013 Central Bar, B \u2013 Ernest Willows, C \u2013 The Gatekeeper, D \u2013 The Ivor Davies, E \u2013 The Crockerton, F \u2013 The Mount Stuart, G (behind \u2018H\u2019) \u2013 The Prince of Wales, H \u2013 The Great Western. Also participating is The Aneurin Bevan on Caerphilly Rd<\/p><\/div>\n

Amongst the selection are Flying Dutchman Spiced Ale from Holland, Red Racer from Central City, Canada and Zulu Blonde from Zululand, South Africa. Zulu Blonde owner Richard Chennels says \u201cOur brewery in\u00a0Eshowe, Zululand is tiny so it\u2019s such a great opportunity brewing overseas.
