{"id":29224,"date":"2015-11-23T16:42:12","date_gmt":"2015-11-23T16:42:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/?p=29224"},"modified":"2016-10-17T16:07:21","modified_gmt":"2016-10-17T16:07:21","slug":"danishbakerygivescardiffnewflavour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/food\/danishbakerygivescardiffnewflavour","title":{"rendered":"Danish bakery gives Cardiff new flavour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cardiff\u2019s first<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/thedanishbakery\/?fref=ts\" target=\"_blank\"> Danish bakery<\/a> has seen a great success since opening its doors earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>The bakery and caf\u00e9 called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedanishbakery.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Brod<\/a> opened in Pontcanna on 3 November.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_29323\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 480px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Brodoutsideedited1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-29323\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Brodoutsideedited1-480x220.jpg\" alt=\"The Danish Bakery\" width=\"480\" height=\"220\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Betina Skovbro aimed to give the bakery a homely yet Scandinavian feel with its light wood exterior<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It combines Welsh and Danish culture by baking authentic breads and pastries with ingredients sourced locally from Cardiff and South Wales.<\/p>\n<p>The new bakery has seen a huge response from the community with members queuing up outside to buy their baked goods.<\/p>\n<p>Manager Ben Davies said, \u201cThe response we\u2019ve had has been amazing.
