Residences, open studios, talks, events, interventions, screenings and exhibitions will also take place where artists will communicate ideas globally as well as through space and time.<\/p>\n<p>Although most events will be held at The Angel Hotel, other\u00a0venues across Cardiff will be featured including artist led organisation g39. Launching the festival, they will be exhibiting part of the unique <em>Artangel Collection<\/em> in Wales for the first time by featuring Mike Kelley\u2019s film of\u00a0<i>Mobile Homestead.\u00a0<\/i>Chris Brown, co-director of g39 explained, \u201cWe have had quite a bit of involvement with the festival and put on an exhibition\u00a0programme that will form part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_31555\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 416px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_0360.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-31555\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_0360-416x312.jpg\" alt=\"The Angel Hotel, Cardiff Contemporary\u2019s main venue\" width=\"416\" height=\"312\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_0360-416x312.jpg 416w, https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_0360.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 416px) 100vw, 416px\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>The Angel Hotel, Cardiff Contemporary\u2019s main venue<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<p>The festival organised by Ruth Cayford, Festival Manager, is free and open to all members of the public and\u00a0aims to\u00a0attract a variety of of people to enjoy its range of creative celebration. Lauren Aldridge, festival assistant added, \u201cThere will be something for everyone to enjoy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cardiff Contemporary has been developed in partnership with Cardiff\u2019s visual art, design and architecture communities and is funded by Arts Council Wales and Cardiff Council.
