Photo provided by Katy Hamana at Active HD<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Huntington\u2019s disease (or HD), is a <a href=\"http:\/\/hda.org.uk\/hd\/what-is-hd\" target=\"_blank\">rare genetic disorder<\/a> that can leave patients with difficulty controlling their movements, as well as with behavioural and cognitive problems, making it difficult for them to get the exercise they need.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Una Jones, 52, works with Active HD in <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/active-huntingtons-disease\/developing-self-sustaining-walking-groups-for-people-with-huntingtons-disease\/\" target=\"_blank\">helping patients<\/a> get out and about. \u201cWe\u2019ve been for walks around Bute park, we\u2019ve visited Cardiff Castle, and St Fagan\u2019s as well,&#8221; she explains, &#8220;We\u2019re just trying to make each walk a little bit different and interesting.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_31596\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 480px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-31596 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Active_4_Huntingtons_big2_AM.jpg\" alt=\"Active_4_Huntingtons_big2_AM\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Active_4_Huntingtons_big2_AM.jpg 480w, https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Active_4_Huntingtons_big2_AM-416x312.jpg 416w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">The group have visited local landmarks &#8211; and always stop for a coffee.
