Cardiff residents and tourists are in the spooky spirit this winter as ghost walks sell out at the city’s most haunted places<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ghost walks have been a hit with tourists this winter as tickets have sold out for many of Cardiff\u2019s most haunted locations such as St Fagan\u2019s and Cardiff Castle.<\/span><\/p>\n

The boo-m can be attributed to the rising interest in Wales\u2019 most haunted city according to the Paranormal Database.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe excitement and the thrill of a ghost hunt is what brings people first off,\u201d noted Wesley McDermott of Haunted Rooms<\/a>, \u201cThe intrigue and different locations bring them back for more.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Tickets for some tours range from \u00a311.50 for an 85-minute tour to \u00a315.00 for a full two-hour tour and locations range around the city from Cardiff\u2019s famous castle to the National Museum.<\/span><\/p>\n

To find the source of the paranormal in Cardiff you need to delve into the city’s haunted history which makes for macabre reading.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Rummer Tavern is home to the notorious “Judge” ghost.<\/p><\/div>\n

The city has played host to numerous paranormal sightings throughout history with the paranormal database collecting numerous incidents of recorded activity in the area. <\/span><\/p>\n

Llandough Hospital is thought to be one of the city’s most haunted places as the ghost of a nurse who claimed to have seen her own dead body lying on a bed a week before she died of typhoid fever is said to haunt the hospital’s halls.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of Haunted History\u2019s most popular ghost walks is Castle Coch in Tongwynlais.<\/span><\/p>\n

The castle is thought to be home to the White Lady, the ghost of a woman said to have died of a broken heart after her son drowned in a local pond.<\/span><\/p>\n

With Halloween over and the darkness coming earlier each night it’s easy to see why intrigue in Cardiff\u2019s haunted history is on the rise.<\/span><\/p>\n
