Cardiff artists have designed Christmas cards you can buy to support The Wallich\u2019s Rough Sleepers campaign<\/strong>
\n\"Cardiff
\n<\/span>Eight Cardiffian artists have designed limited edition Christmas cards<\/a> that will be sold exclusively this 18-19 November on the ground floor of St David\u2019s 2 Shopping Centre.
\n<\/span>
\n1,000 of each design will be printed. One pack will be available for an eight pound donation.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Cardiff’s award winning brand I Loves The \u2018Diff <\/a>has collaborated with local artists to assist the Reaching Out to Rough Sleepers campaign, which delivers humanitarian aid to Cardiff\u2019s rough sleepers.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Amy Lee Pierce, Communications Manager at The Wallich said: \u201cIt\u2019s been a total pleasure to work with I Loves The \u2018Diff again. The artists Chris Amodeo [founder, I Loves The \u2018Diff] managed to secure for this project are amazing and the limited edition designs they\u2019ve done will help get people off the streets and into safety this winter.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Contributing artist Victoria Cao<\/a> said: \u201cI\u2019m really proud to be a part of this project in support of The Wallich. It really is the least I could do to help continue their amazing work.\u201d
\n<\/span>
\nThe Reaching Out to Rough Sleepers campaign aims to raise \u00a375,000 to buy five new vehicles to assist the rough sleepers intervention teams.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\nThe new vehicles will be called the Street Fleet. The main aim will be to take Cardiff\u2019s homeless<\/a> off the streets and into specialist centres where, The Wallich website states, \u201cthey can shower, use a washing machine and meet with staff in the hope of securing accommodation and further health and well being support.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The Wallich\u2019s official statistics shows that homelessness in Cardiff is at an all time high. The rough sleepers intervention team now feed, clothe and assist an average of 40 people per day, in contrast to 2013\u2019s average of 12 people per day.<\/span><\/p>\n
