For the fifth-year running, Wales\u2019s biggest craft festival is to be held at City Hall the 2-4 November<\/strong><\/h2>\n

From pottery, to print making, to ceramics and jewellery creation, Made By Hand is a place for makers and creators to expose their works but also share their skills. Not only can you purchase unique pieces, there are many opportunities to learn through workshops and masterclasses.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fair is organised by Made By Hand Events Ltd, a company is responsible for other fairs such as the Contemporary Craft Festival in Devon, one of the biggest in Europe. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Sarah James, a ceramicist by trade and now director of the fairs, decided to organise these events to give makers a platform to express themselves and share their passion. She says: \u201cMade by Hand has become synonymous with quality and the unique. Meeting the makers behind the work is one of the main reasons why so many people come to the event.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

The Made by Hand fair in Cardiff, produced in association with Cardiff Council, has become widely recognised in Cardiff. This year, it will be a platform for around 135 makers. Masterclasses are especially popular for those wishing to discover new skills and try their hand at creating unique pieces with the help of professionals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Masterclasses and workshops are available for both adults and children. Workshops include activities such as willow weaving, yarn art, pottery, felt creations and free \u2018drop ins\u2019 for children who wish to play and create. Visitors may also buy tickets for demonstrations from award-winning makers. <\/span><\/p>\n

Fran, one of the main organisers of the event, says: \u201cWe are giving people the opportunity to learn something new that they can\u2019t do at home. Many have pursued activities after the fair.\u201d She goes on to say, \u201cdoing these type of activities is great, especially nowadays to improve mental health.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
