Following \u201ccircumstances not dissimilar to the plot of \u2018Night at the Museum\u2019\u201d<\/a>, the HUSH silent disco due to be held in October has been rescheduled<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The HUSH silent disco is now taking place this weekend on Saturday 24 November at <\/span>Cardiff National Museum<\/span><\/a> after the initial October date was cancelled.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tickets bought for the October date are still valid and final release tickets can be purchased now from <\/span>Eventbrite<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

James Chant, event producer for the disco, expressed his gratitude for being allowed access to Cardiff Museum for the disco. He said: \u201c<\/span>Opening up these spaces in this way helps people see them in a different light… It helps these organisations develop audiences in really interesting ways.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The disco is for over 18s and will run from 8pm till midnight.<\/span><\/p>\n

Disco attendees will receive headphones on arrival featuring two channels which they can switch between throughout the night. <\/span><\/p>\n

The disco will feature a variety of genres of music played through the headphones provided including soul, funk, disco and indie music from through the decades. There will be two different DJ\u2019s playing at all times, including Disco Motel DJ\u2019s Sue Charles and Andy Rhys-Lewis. <\/span><\/p>\n

HUSH\u2019s James said: \u201c<\/span>It feels very special being in the museum at night, everyone dancing amongst the statues. It\u2019s such a grand space and such a part of the cultural landscape of Cardiff, we love being there. The juxtaposition of what we do and the space really seems to have captured people\u2019s imaginations.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Cardiff National Museum event organiser Rhodd Hughes said: \u201cRunning silent discos at Cardiff Museum is a new concept as the Museum looks to develop it\u2019s late night offering. \u00a0Partnering with HUSH has enabled us to explore a more playful side to the Museum.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Rhodd added that silent discos will not be the only late night offering available at the museum, telling alt.cardiff that they soon hope to expand their out of hours with a \u201cLates\u201d programme, including pop-up cinemas and yoga sessions.<\/span><\/p>\n
