{"id":45965,"date":"2018-11-20T12:25:26","date_gmt":"2018-11-20T12:25:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/?p=45965"},"modified":"2018-11-22T11:47:07","modified_gmt":"2018-11-22T11:47:07","slug":"award-winning-restaurant-expands","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/food\/award-winning-restaurant-expands","title":{"rendered":"Local food boom fuels restaurant growth"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>Dusty Knuckle will continue to focus on locally sourced food in its new city centre restaurant<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An award winning restaurant has announced it is expanding its business by opening a brand new restaurant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new branch of Dusty knuckle will add to the restaurant\u2019s portfolio, which includes the flagship Canton restaurant and a pop-up branch in St Davids.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Opening in The Warden\u2019s cottage in Sophia gardens, the new restaurant will offer something different to what<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dusty knuckle currently provide.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_45970\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 4032px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-45970\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/IMG_0277.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"4032\" height=\"3024\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cardiff landmark, The Warden&#8217;s Cottage, will be where the new restaurant is based<\/p>\n<p><\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to lead chef, Jordan King, the new restaurant will \u201chave a big influence from around the world\u201d and will celebrate \u201csmall plates of creative, seasonal cooking.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The restaurant team are looking to expand on the already successful formula which has brought them huge success and many accolades.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dusty knuckle<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and restaurants like it are leading the way in ensuring that South Wales is appreciated as a centre of great food. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The business does this by celebrating local suppliers, and as stated on their website, following their philosophy of \u201csupporting local food producers and traditions.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chef Jordan believes that the work they do, along with their fellow Cardiff businesses has contributed to a boom in the Cardif food scene which he expects to keep on growing.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_45977\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 4032px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-45977\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/IMG_0284.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"4032\" height=\"3024\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dusty knuckle&#8217;s enigmatic frontage<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">He said: \u201cI moved here from London four years ago and there\u2019s a stark difference now.
