Maggie\u2019s is partnering with Look Good Feel Better to put on classes to help anyone undergoing treatment deal with the physical side-effects<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The recently opened cancer centre in Whitchurch is running make-up classes to help cancer suffers deal with the physical effects of treatment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are available to anyone, whether it be men or women, and are designed to boost self-esteems as they are taught practical make-up skills they can recreate themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Look Good Feel Better is a charity dedicated to helping people undergoing treatment regain a feeling of control and normality in their lives, while also trying to give them a psychological confidence boost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attending one of the free monthly classes enables participants the chance to meet others going through similar situations, alongside learning from beauty professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each attendee is given a gift bag full of premium make-up products so they can recreate what is taught to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cerys Drayton, owner of Skin Deep Beauty in Birchgrove, who recently started volunteering at the workshops, said: \u201cI found out about Look Good Feel Better when my cousin was diagnosed with breast cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was so positive; everyone leaves with such a huge smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI love every second, I can\u2019t speak highly enough about it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Look Good Feel Better<\/a> published research showing that 97% of respondents felt more confident after attending one of their workshops and this remained at 96% three months later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maggie\u2019s Centres provide any type of support people undergoing cancer treatment may require free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work of Maggie\u2019s is particularly important to highlight as this October marks Breast Cancer Awareness month, putting a spotlight on the most common cancer in the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women are encouraged to check their breasts regularly to monitor for any early signs and symptoms as the earlier the cancer is diagnosed, the better the chance of successful treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
