Owen Sheers\u2019s debut novel arrives in cinemas in November<\/p>\n

Written in Wales, filmed in Wales, and now with its premiere in Wales; Owen Sheers\u2019s\u00a0Resistance<\/em> comes to cinemas on 25 November.<\/p>\n

The book has received praise since its release in 2007, and the film already has positive reviews. It features a Welsh cast of varying fame, and as Sheers says, \u201cAs a Welshman, watching the scene between Michael [Sheen] and Iwan [Rheon] was especially exciting – two generations of excellent Welsh actors in the same shot.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sheers hopes to work on another literary adaptation with Resistance<\/em> director Amit Gupta. Next time though, says Sheers, it won\u2019t be his own book. \u201cI enjoy writing the most when I have the most to learn, and having had a taste of screenwriting I’m very keen to continue.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
