Christmas market offers a real taste of Wales during the festive period  as food and drink businesses flood capital<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shoppers exploring this years Christmas market<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

 Cardiff’s Christmas market will feature stalls from over 200 businesses. A majority of which will be run by Welsh stall owners.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Food and drink businesses from all over the country have gravitated to the capital for this event.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sarah Perkins of Calon Lan Cakes<\/a> said, \u201cWe are looking forward to meeting other Welsh businesses at the market and working alongside them.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt is always very busy, and the stalls look so amazing.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Catrin Komor is the founder of Fwdge<\/a>. A confectionary company from Bridgend that uses artisan Welsh ingredients to achieve its signature flavour.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Catrin said \u201cThe Cardiff Christmas market is iconic; it is a pleasure to be involved\u201d.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEspecially when the organizers go out of their way to source local producers. It makes giving a gift made by hand close to where you live you that much easier!\u201d she continued.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fwdge use ingredients like Anglesey sea salt and Penderyn whisky in their fudge.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Catrin believes that supporting other Welsh businesses is important and adds authenticity to her product.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt adds a really personal touch if you are a Welsh person giving a box of fudge to a non-Welsh friend\u201d she said.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eating locally sourced food reduces the environmental impact of production. Fwdge focus on being environmentally responsible as a company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Catrin said \u201cAll packaging used for the fudge is sourced from eco-friendly sites, recyclable materials and is compostable. I don’t use any plastic packaging and use paper bags for customers which are recyclable too.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Fwdge stall will be there from December 15 until December 21.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whatever you fancy, the Christmas market will have something to satisfy it. Snowdonia cheeses provide a selection of hampers while Severn Cider, Bangon Brewery and Celtic country wines offer many alcoholic drinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why not buy someone a taste of Wales for Christmas this year?  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Christmas market is open 10am to 6pm Monday through Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sundays.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
