Wales fell under the adventure category.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Four-Falls-Trail-Main-Body_CD.jpg\" alt=\"Four Falls Trail\" class=\"wp-image-52660\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Four-Falls-Trail-Main-Body_CD.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Four-Falls-Trail-Main-Body_CD-416x312.jpg 416w, https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Four-Falls-Trail-Main-Body_CD-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Four-Falls-Trail-Main-Body_CD-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption>The Cambrian Way travels coast to coast from Cardiff to Conwy, with the walking route passing through the Brecon Beacons National Park.\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Other places to feature on the shortlist include Tasmania, the Canary Islands, the Kalahari Desert in Botswana and the Maldives. No other locations in the United Kingdom were chosen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitcardiff.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Visit Cardiff<\/a> team said, \u201cWe&#8217;re thrilled to see Wales recognised at an international level. The Cambrian Way route begins in Cardiff, making it the perfect starting point for a Welsh adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCardiff is full of culture, history, charm and entertainment. The city acts as the gateway to the wider South Wales region, with its beautiful beaches, mountains and fascinating heritage.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Bakestones-Main-Body_CD.jpg\" alt=\"Welsh cakes\" class=\"wp-image-52662\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Bakestones-Main-Body_CD.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Bakestones-Main-Body_CD-416x312.jpg 416w, https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Bakestones-Main-Body_CD-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.jomec.co.uk\/altcardiff\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Bakestones-Main-Body_CD-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption>&#8220;We&#8217;re thrilled to see Wales recognised at an international level,&#8221; said the team at Visit Cardiff.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s also a new travel magazine that shines a light on this epic region that stretches from coast to peak. <em>Yma<\/em>, based in Cardiff, aims to help those living in South Wales discover what\u2019s on their doorstep.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s easy to get caught up in life and forget to explore the place that you live,\u201d says Priyankaa, a writer on the magazine. \u201cWith <em>Yma<\/em>, we want to help people make the most of their surroundings because South Wales has so much to offer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first issue launched this week with features on Cardiff, Brecon and the Gower.
