Macmillian Cancer Support is asking locals to get fit and festive by taking part in their annual Christmas Elf Walk to raise money for people affected by cancer.<\/p>\n

The charity walk takes place on 11 December and will guide entrants on 3.5 mile tour around Sophia Gardens, Blackweir and Pontcanna Fields.<\/p>\n

Fancy dress is encouraged and there are prizes for best dressed adult, children and dog entrants, as well as for the most money raised by 31\u00a0December.<\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s event saw 160 locals put on their elf hats and raised more than \u00a310,000.<\/p>\n

Rebecca Parke, Macmillan Fundraising Manager for Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan and Caerphilly, says all money goes to local cancer services.<\/p>\n
