Cardiff’s up and coming musicians bring diverse influences to classical concert<\/h2>\n

St Edward's Church in Roath, which will host the concert on Friday<\/p><\/div>\n

St Edward’s Church will play host to Cardiff\u2019s emerging musical talent with a concert this Friday. Cor Cyfoes, a chamber choir showcasing and developing the city\u2019s up and coming singing and composing talent will be performing at the Roath church on 25 November.<\/p>\n

The programme for the event will feature music written by student composers as well as an eight-piece choir. All the pieces have been written within the last 10 years and encompass a range of musical styles.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe variety people can expect is really quite wide,\u201d said Matthew Clark, the conductor of the event and founding member of Cor Cyfoes. He explained that the inspiration behind the evening\u2019s compositions came from such diverse influences as early medieval, classic romantic and 21st century Japanese music.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
