\u00a0Welsh Women\u2019s Aid will host a string of events across Wales as part of an international campaign to raise awareness about violence against women<\/p>\n

During the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence the charity and its member groups will stage a series of events between White Ribbon Day (25 November) and International Human Rights Day (10 December). \u00a0<\/p>\n

The campaign will also see the launch of the Welsh Assembly\u2019s first Cross-Party Group on Violence Against Women and Children on the 24 November.<\/p>\n

Hannah Austin, Welsh Women\u2019s Aid Policy and Campaigns Officer said, \u201cViolence against women is a form of gender inequality and a violation of women\u2019s most basic, fundamental human rights.
