This weekend sees Cardiff Foodbank\u2019s final collection of the year<\/h2>\n

Is your fridge overflowing with food you could give away?<\/p><\/div>\n

If you have already done your Christmas shopping and have anything in abundance, then Cardiff Foodbank is interested.<\/p>\n

The food bank is holding its last collection of 2011 on Saturday 3 December at Sainsbury\u2019s on Colchester Avenue in Penylan. It aims to fight hidden hunger by supporting people in Cardiff who struggle to feed themselves.<\/p>\n

The founder, Ian Purcell, said, \u201cWe\u2019ve already had a few from earlier this month, but any Christmas donations would be appreciated.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christmas foods being sought out include traditional items like Christmas pudding, tinned ham and mince pies.<\/p>\n

Ian added, \u201cLast year, we got 400kg of food at our Christmas collection from that one specific collection.<\/p>\n
