Those looking for some alternative festive fun should head to Gwdihw for the return of the Yuletide Ukulele Cabaret.<\/p>\n

On 12 December the popular event returns to the Guildford Crescent venue for the second successive year, offering guests a traditional mulled wine and mince pie along with some tongue-in-cheek, seasonally themed ukulele ballards.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a group of regular performers who always entertain,\u201d says organiser and MC for the evening, Nick Canham.<\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s Yuletide themed event was Cardiff\u2019s inaugural Ukulele Cabaret and led to five further events throughout 2011, featuring the music of the city\u2019s own ukulele talent and becoming a favourite at Gwdihw.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the Ukulele Cabaret, people tend not to take themselves too seriously and there\u2019s a good comic element to the songs,\u201d says Nick.<\/p>\n
