The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD) will be showcasing its youngest members at the Winter Concert on 10 December 2011. There will be two concerts; the first is held by the youngest students aged four to ten, the second is composed of four groups of students aged 11 to 18.<\/p>\n

The children will be performing a variety of Italian Renaissance pieces, a Japanese folk song and jazz music by Chris McGregor. The introduction will be held by some of the acting students of the RWCMD.<\/p>\n

All performers are members of the Junior Music Course, which provides specialist training for young talented musicians. \u201cThe course is designed for people who are likely to study music more seriously after school,\u201d says Robert Aitken, operations manager.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
