The Royal Welsh Winter Fair is sure to get you out of the city streets and send you well on your way to the rural heart of Wales.
“The Winter Fair is very much a primestock show and attracts both farmers and buyers from far,” says Samantha Davies, spokesperson for The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society (RWAS), which runs the event. There are over 14,000 livestock and equine competition entries, advertising the finest stock that Britain has to offer.
The ‘Gate to Plate’ exhibition is new to the 2012 fair, encompassing an ice cream competition, cookery and butchery. There is something for everyone, with over 300 trade stands to choose from, including Christmas gifts, Welsh food and drink, handicrafts, floral art and many more.
