The pensions dispute brings the public sector together to go on strike
A 24 hours strike will freeze Cardiff’s public activity this coming Wednesday. Teaches, nurses, council staff and many other workers related to the public sector will be demonstrating all day long on 30 November.
Bridgend, Caerphilly, Glamorgan and Cardiff: The strike will spare no one. In all of these cities many disruptions of the public services (such as bus’ and trains) are to be expected. Different spokesmen of Bridgend and Caerphilly’s councils have insured to the press that the disruptions would be minimised.
“That’s what they always say”, confides Marian Williams, 69, former schoolteacher in Scotland. “It is the same everywhere, really. My question is: who is going to take care of the children whose parents will be working on Wednesday?”
