A Chinese mobile company, China Telecom is joining the British market to compete with other mobile companies in the UK such as Lycamobile and Lebara. From now on to the end of December, people can enjoy free domestic calls in the UK to have a taste of this new service.
The target users of China Telecom are Chinese students and Chinese travellers to the UK. It provides 24-hours custom service in Chinese, which facilitate those who have trouble in communication. Also, people in China can call the users in the UK and it costs no more than that of city call.
“After I know this service well, I may try to use it to contact my families,” said Zhiling Li, a Cardiff University student.
