Choral singing in the land of song

Cardiff Male Choir, one of the oldest choirs in South Wales, will be performing at an abundance of weddings, charity concerts and corporate events in the busy Christmas season.

Gracious, gleaming, glamorous: these words speak volumes for the choir, which has recently held its 2012 Annual Gala Concert. The infectious enthusiasm among the choir members is apparent, as they rehearse at Whitchurch Sports and Social Club every Wednesday evening.

As Musical Director of Cardiff Male Choir, Emma Height revealed her greatest concern, “There are so many male choirs around and many of them are beginning to feel a loss of membership and a loss of interest.”

“What we are trying to do here is to spur them forward and to get more interest,” added Emma.
