Cardiff Council is considering building a new 300,00sq ft Headquarter at Callahan square in the heart of the capital.
They have granted spend 10 million pounds to buy a prime piece of land. This land may be used for their new Council headquarters, which will be a replacement for County Hall located at Atlantic Wharf, which was first place to South Glamorgan County Council from 1988.
The purchase funds will come from the council’s capital programme budget for this financial year and also include cash from the Welsh Government.
Last year, the council made a budget plan to cut down costs for this year. Some residents thought no signs of budget cut backs for them.
