As the issue of migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers take up a major portion of political debate in the United Kingdom and around the world, there is more discussion than ever about the economic impact of asylum seekers on their host countries.

However, this debate often precludes mentioning the experience of the asylum seekers themselves.  

Who is seeking asylum in the United Kingdom? Where are they from? Where are they now?
