Cardiff’s youngest stall vendor reveals secret to success

Cardiff’s youngest vendor has a fool-proof method for determining whether his products will be big sellers at the weekly St Mary Street Market. So far, he hasn’t put a paw wrong.

Muppet, a two-year-old Bichon/Cavalier King Charles cross, is the taste tester for Blue Paw Dog Biscuits, run by his owner Susan McDonald.

As he is named on the stall’s council application as one of the stall’s holders, it’s Muppet’s job to ensure every biscuit sold meets his high standards.

“The liver and bacon biscuit is one of our highest sellers, and coincidentally it’s one of Muppets favourites too,” Sue explains. “When I’m baking the biscuits, if he’s sitting impatiently by the oven waiting for them, I know that’s a good sign.”
