Locals who form the monthly Monday club, Roath Writers, have published their first anthology in celebration of the club’s anniversary.

Inspired by a series of late night conversations and a creative group of individuals, To the Pub and Back: A Roath Writers Anthology was published in September; a year after the club was founded.

The classes have an age range of 19 to 65 and are held at the Gate, Roath, they welcome anyone who has a passion for writing. The sessions allow participants to share their work, take part in workshops and engage in discussions sparked by all things literature.

Christina Thatcher, founder of Roath Writers said: “We write and workshop in every session and then head to the pub after. It’s always a great evening!”
