Musicians perform in tribute to Bob Dylan

The Musical Finale event will be held in Cardiff University's Bute building

A night of musical entertainment gets under way on November 18, as two singers pay tribute to Bob Dylan.

Singers Colum Regan and Lawson Dando will perform at Cardiff University’s Bute Building, in a culmination of Bob’s Birthday Bash, an event to celebrate his 70th Birthday. They will play both contemporary and traditional songs, which will link with the previous talks.

The event organiser and Head of European Studies at the University, Professor David Boucher, chose the singers because of their great musical talent.

He said that many aspiring folk singers, including himself, had been influenced by Bob. He said, “Bob Dylan transformed the popular song and without him music would be very different.”

The Musical Finale event is free, but an e-ticket is required.
