Needles & Pins hopes to provide an alternative tattoo magazine for women.

Ink, music, fashion and culture have come together for the launch of a new alternative lifestyle magazine in Cardiff.

Needles & Pins, a free lifestyle magazine celebrating female body art, will be launched today by students from Cardiff University’s Journalism school.

The magazine will cover Cardiff’s tattoo scene from a female perspective and aims to provide a fresh outlook to current publications on the market.

In the first issue, readers can expect an exclusive interview with alternative model, Nancy Harry, as well as the latest tattoo news, alt-fashion and features on inspiring women in the industry.

Online contributor, Paddy Vipond, is enthusiastic about the launch. He said: “This sounds like a very interesting project. I look forward to seeing the first issue of the magazine.”
